Looking good requires you to feel good. Taking the time to exercise, following good eating practices, and drinking lots of water will help you and your skin look and feel great for your special day.

Apart from any facials you may have before your wedding day, it I also important to set up a routine of skin care to regulate your skin. Cleansing, toning and moisturizing, along with some occasional exfoliating are key to keeping your skin in tip top shape.

Don’t forget your eyes and lips. A good eye scream and lip conditioner are worth it.

If you are getting facials make sure the last one is at least two weeks before your wedding. Deep facials massage and manipulation can cause redness and bumps that may not go away in time for the wedding say. At your initial consultation, you should discuss with your assigned makeup artist any skin issue you may have so that we can give you the most flawless application there is without causing you any skin problems.

Don’t forget your hands. Get into the habit of moisturizing them before you go to sleep. Nails should be done a day or two before the wedding day.

Because you’ll be on your feet for hours, make certain that your shoes are comfortable. Try to break in your shoes by wearing them around your house before the wedding.

Waxing should be done two or more days in advance to keep redness away. Have waxing done professionally. Over-the-counter waxing products are unreliable and harsh. Consider getting a brow and lip wax a few days before your wedding for a flawless makeup application.

Tan if you’re going some place tropical for your honeymoon to get a base tan. Otherwise, please stay away from it. Besides the fact that it is damaging, it can also appear unnatural. You can always ask your makeup artist to use a bronzer to add some warmth to your skin.

MAKEUP + hair

Have pictures ready with different styles of hair and makeup you like. Also consider purchasing your veil after you have decided how you would like to wear your hair. You should be choosing your hairstyle based on you, not your veil.

Try to schedule your trial run in the morning or early afternoon so you can really see how your makeup looks in different lighting and how it holds up for the entire day.

Consider purchasing a touchup kit for your wedding day. At the trial the makeup artist can suggest products you can use to touch up through the night if you do not plan booking an artist to stay on location. Powder and lip should be the only things you have to touch up.

At THE KEY LOOK, we take pride in making sure our Brides are completely satisfied with hair and makeup. A good massage reduces stress levels, and relieves stiffness in the body. It increases circulation by assisting oxygen and nutrients reach tissues and organs. It can also release endorphins, which act as a pain reliever.
